I have worked for about 20 years without promoting myself much, always working with the same customers: some of the most important translation agencies in Milan, and the publisher of one of Italy's leading architecture magazine, Area (editorial office in Florence c/o the Archea firm, published by il Sole 24 Ore Business Media), translating mostly from Italian to English. However, I am Norwegian, and in these 20 years I have also worked extensively with Norwegian, translating contracts, lawsuits (I am registered as a sworn translator with the Court of Milan), various manuals, video games, tourist brochures and other documents. I am not very interested in more work from Italian to English (I have more than enough and my customers are excellent) but believe my expertise in Norwegian to English may be valuable for those who need translators with this kind of experience. I have been translating about 1000 words a day of legal documents as contracts, financial statements, legal documents as briefs, summons, opinions etc., as well as articles on art and architecture by leading critics and writers in those sectors. |
