CLASSICAL MUSIC, MUSICOLOGY, OPERA
Classical music has been my main specialization since 2003. My qualifications include a teaching diploma (10 years) in piano (with subjects such as music history, harmony, counterpoint, aesthetics, analysis, solfège) and a BA (in progress) in Music History and Musicology. My experience as an amateur musician and professional concerts organizator have also provided me with a deep knowledge of other disciplines such as violoncello and bowed strings, singing, conducting (orchestra and choir), harmony, counterpoint, jazz, theory, solfège, ear training.
In addition, I have translated educational brochures, congress acts, articles, press reports, biographies and other documents for universities, orchestras, associations, publishing houses and magazines in Spain, Italy, Germany and France. Some of my jobs involved interdisciplinary research and terminology in fields such as law (contracts) and engineering (electric engineering).
COMMUNICATION, JOURNALISM
The fluency, style and accurateness of my Spanish is always one of my main concerns, and a MA in Media and Communication together with work experience in both a PR agency and a newspaper have helped me to improve my journalistic translations, which include web pages, annual reports and touristic brochures.
LINGUISTICS, LITERATURE, LITERARY CRITICISM, MYTHOLOGY
In my sophomore year (BA in Classics) I published a translation of Aristophanes' "Lysistrate". I am also a published fiction writer in Spanish and Galician.
