An accountant by training but a translator by choice, I moved from crunching numbers to crafting language out of a genuine love for words. English has been second nature to me since the age of five, while Malay is my mother tongue. At 17, I received a Malaysian government scholarship to complete Year 12 at Sydney Girls’ High School before pursuing my tertiary studies. I later continued my education in the UK, studying Accounting at Thames Valley University, London (Ealing College).
Upon returning to Malaysia, I worked as an Internal Auditor, then as a Project Accountant and Financial Controller in construction‑related companies. After nearly 15 years in these roles, I chose to bring my accumulated knowledge and industry experience into my translation practice, where it continues to shape the precision and depth of my work.
