A Modern and Medieval Languages graduate from Queens' College, the University of Cambridge - I obtained a 1st-class degree, with the top mark in the year for Spanish language modules - I am now a full-time translator, copywriter, proofreader and content editor. I am based in Barcelona and am a member of the Catalan Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters.

My specialty fields are sport, tourism, advertising, marketing, e-commerce, medicine, academia and film.

In recent years I have combined freelance translation with in-house content editing and localisation roles at top online travel agencies (OTAs) Booking.com and budgetplaces.com and the healthcare communications agency CDM Barcelona. This gives me a unique mixture of linguistic competence and commercial experience.

Highlights include:
- Four years (May 2012-March 2016) leading the translation and editing of the English-language online version of sports newspaper Marca, Spain’s most widely read news publication, as part of a team assembled by Madrid-based communications agency Virtua MC. As part of my collaboration with this agency, I have also completed work for LaLiga, Y&R, Nivea, FNAC, Dodot, Puleva, BBVA, Bankia, Couldina, Gol TV, Vodafone, Repsol, Cornetto and others
