Bio
In 2001 I passed the (Tunis) Ecole Normale Supérieure entrance examination, ranking 1st. I studied for two years at the ENS (literature, French, Translation, IT) and simultaneously at Manouba University (3rd and 4th year).

I thoroughly enjoyed the translation lessons and realised that it was what I really wanted to do.

I obtained my Master’s degree in British literature (Maîtrise) in 2003 from the faculty of Letters, Arts and Humanities of Manouba.

I have worked for a weekly Tunisian English-speaking newspaper “Tunisia News” in 2004 (target audience: English speaking tourists in Tunisia and Tunisair) where my tasks involved translating articles from French-language newspapers into english, editing work, layout of the pages and making the final checks before printing.

From April 2005 to December 2007, I worked as a translator for a Belgian IT offshore company, I translated content for their hairdressing portal. The content of this website was for trainees as well as professional hairdressers and ranged from hair colouring and haircutting techniques to insurance and the financial aspect of opening one’s own hair salon.

I got the opportunity to work for a company specialising in patents and, being different from what I had previously been doing, I thought it would be a challenge. I held the position of senior patent translation officer from 2008 to 2015 translating patents and written opinions (clients: NOVAGRAAF, GERMAIN MAUREAU, etc.)

I have also translated articles for luxury lifestyle magazine SUR LA TERRE INTERNATIONAL (http://www.surlaterre.com/) and financial magazine MARKET
(http://www.market.ch/fr/accueil.html) as well as Media kits.

I translated recipes for the www.Marmiton.org website as part of a 3-month project and loved it! (end of 2015).

I did one subtitling job for a documentary about a Romanian painter’s life and also translated a few articles for the Earth Negotiations Bulletin for the IISD (2004).

I have worked in a wide range of fields including: fish farms, aquaculture, desalination, international relocation, insurance (Swiss), magazine articles (salon de l'auto), sportscars, watchmaking, designer furniture, gourmet cuisine, recipes, shoemaking, sports, finance (general).
