Hi, I’m Marija Pejović, a professional translator with over 20 years of experience, passionate about bridging cultures and making information accessible across languages. My translation journey began in 2000 when I was still a student, helping with medical texts. This early experience taught me the importance of research, consistency, and delivering work that is both accurate and meaningful.

Throughout my career, I’ve explored a wide range of projects, from technical and medical documents to creative fields like subtitling and transcription. Since 2017, I’ve specialized in subtitling movies, series, documentaries, and cartoons, ensuring content resonates with diverse audiences. However, my expertise extends beyond audiovisual translation—I’ve worked on medical reports, product labels, and other specialized materials, always with a commitment to precision and cultural nuance.

I’m always eager to learn and adapt. Over the years, I’ve gained proficiency in tools like SDL Trados, InDesign, and Illustrator, and I’m currently expanding my skills in Photoshop. My technical aptitude allows me to take on projects requiring advanced tools and workflows with ease.

Born to a Montenegrin father and a Serbian mother, I’m fluent in both Serbian and Monttenegrin languages and deeply familiar with their cultural contexts. This heritage enriches my work, whether I’m translating formal texts or creative content.

When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking, reading, and exploring creative projects that fuel my curiosity. I thrive on challenges and love delivering translations that connect with their intended audience, no matter the subject matter.
