I am a freelance translator experienced in the fields of IT, localization, technology and retail for German to English.

I have been involved in freelance translation work with online retailer Amazon since March 2013, providing me with significant experience of translation in the retail sector covering many different product areas including technology, furniture, clothing and sports.
Additionally I have undertaken technical translation in the field of IT for another agency.

I hold a BA in German and Computer Studies, an MA in Translation and Language Technology and have several years experience of working within IT, making me an ideal choice for translations in this sector. I also have experience in web development and thus have an understanding of issues surrounding software and web localisation. During my degree I also chose to work on highly technical texts in railway engineering due to personal interest in the area and did extensive terminology work for this.

My MA in Translation and Language Technology allows me to add integrity, fully understand the importance of consistency and utilise technology to provide high quality translations. I have much international experience from both studying and working in Germany and have a very strong personal interest and passion for languages, science and technology.
