Background: Born in the UK to a French mother and English
father. Having spent most of my formative years in Oxford, England, I
consider English to be my native language.
Education: I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and
Philosophy from the University of Exeter (UK) and a trilingual (French,
Spanish and English) Master's degree in Business and Cross-Cultural
Studies from Bordeaux Montaigne University (France).
Translation experience: My familiarity with translation
work results from studying languages to postgraduate level. It is also a
skill I developed whilst being brought up in a bilingual family and
living independently in countries where the native language was not my
mother tongue, meaning that translation became part of my daily routine.
Current situation: I am currently working in Humanitarian Capacity Building, supporting both English and French speaking programmes.
Future plans: My plans for the future are to continually improve and extend my linguistic capacities in English, French and Spanish.
Interests: I am highly motivated to use my linguistic skills for
creative, cultural and/or educational projects. I am also very concerned
about humanitarian and environmental issues and aim to work for a
company or organisation with an ethical objective.
Languages: English - native, French - bilingual, Spanish - fluent.
