I was born and raised in Romania and I have been working as a freelance translator and proofreader (English - Romanian) for several years now.


I have always been passionate about languages and English in particular. Throughout high school and my University studies, I chose to perfect my English skills and vocabulary in a variety of fields, through both formal and non-formal education.


I used (and still do) the English language extensively. Every chance I had of reading, writing, translating, or attending competitions in the language, I took. I also became a youth worker in a local NGO, which allowed me to travel around Europe and part of Asia, and cross any remaining language barriers by communicating with dozens of both native and non-native English speakers.


Shortly after starting my first year at the University I had already translated my first extensive project: a history book (over 29.000 words), from Romanian to English.


Some of my most recent projects (2012-2014) have been translating and proofreading/copy-editing promotional content, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policies, game descriptions, financial instructions, or general information from English to Romanian, for online casinos and gaming sites.
