My academic background has played a significant role in shaping my professional path. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Languages (English and Russian) and a Master’s Degree in Translation, during which I refined my skills in translating a broad range of texts — from scientific and legal to literary and marketing materials — both into and from Italian. I also received specialized training in CAT tools (particularly OmegaT) and subtitling software such as VisualSubSync and Aegisub. To date, I use CafeTran but I am pretty confident with all the major CAT tools.
In 2019, I was honored with the Joan Reese Franzinetti Award, issued by the University of Turin for the best thesis in English Studies — a recognition that marked an important milestone in my development as a translator. My thesis focused on the analysis and translation of Dylan Thomas’s Under the Milk Wood.
Since 2017, I have been an active member of Translators without Borders, offering my translation and proofreading skills on a voluntary basis to support humanitarian and non-profit organizations. This ongoing collaboration has further strengthened my ability to handle diverse types of texts with precision, clarity, and cultural sensitivity.
