I am bilingual in Indonesian and English, I started studying Indonesian language and translation at university in 2010. The majority of my language learning career has been spent in Indonesia completing immersion courses and advanced level study. I have a passion for Indonesian culture, sub-culture, literature, food and travel and I spend a lot of time immersing myself in these interests. I currently live in Bali. I have a social science background focusing on international development, policy and government. I have been working as a professional translator for 5 years; I started my career with an international development company in 2012; I have translated international policy, law and development documents at university research capacity. I also have excellent communication and leadership skills which saw me gain a position as Program Coordinator of a health and recovery retreat in Bali, December 2016. I am currently working as a professional freelance translator and have served agencies in Australia, Irian Jaya, and Indonesia.
