I've been an English to Brazilian Portuguese translator since 2017, when I got an internship at a translation agency during the last semester of my master’s. I realised I had a knack for Translation over 14 years ago, when I worked for 3 years analysing bilingual Brand License Agreements for Exim Brazil (now Lotus Global Marketing). In 2020, I started working as a freelance audiovisual translator and QCer. Brazilian native, with a love of books, films, TV series, languages, and cultures. I have lived in Dublin, Ireland for over two years, and I currently live in Portugal; where I completed a MA in Translation from the University of Lisbon. My 5+ years of experience in audiovisual translation include: Subtitling and QA of feature films, TV series, trailers, corporate videos and others. Closed Captioning (CC) of TV series. Dubbing script translation and adaptation for social media videos. Localisation of marketing AV materials. Additionally, I volunteer by subtitling TED Talks. I am also a professional member of Subtle – The Subtitlers' Association.
