Bio
as Helen Keller once said, "In a word, literature is my utopia", and I, not so unlike her, have always been fascinated with reading and writing literature, and through this passion, I learned that becoming a bridge between languages, whether translating my thoughts from shapeless daydreams to meaningful words on paper or translating words of a different language to another one and sharing them to a whole new community of readers, was something I wanted to professionally pursue, hence, began my journey. My first work experience dates back to 9 years ago as a freelance translator of short stories, but the true milestone for me was studying my BA in English Translation at Allameh Tabataba'i University, one of the most prestigious translation schools in the Middle-East which taught me valuable work lessons, ethics, and skills that have made me an experienced translator with a demonstrated history of working in the translation and localization industry, from freelance translation for magazines and companies, to literary translation for publishing houses.I've also done a research paper in BA (although not yet published) that focused on how translation as a tool and a translator's way of using that tool, can often negatively impact the Characterization aspect of a narrative, therefore, changing the characters to a considerable degree unseen to the eyes of the target language readers. The source material used was the Pillowman play by Martin McDonagh.
