About Me

My name is Vlad, and I am a professional freelance translator, editor, and proofreader based in Yerevan, Armenia.

I graduated from Yerevan State Linguistic University in 2005 with a degree in English and Russian Languages and Russian Literature.

My translation career began even before graduation. In 2001, while still a university student, I started translating general documents from English into Armenian and Russian. Positive feedback from my first clients inspired me to pursue translation as a long-term profession.

One of the most significant milestones in my career came in 2002, when I worked with the U.S. Embassy in Armenia as a translator and interpreter for a U.S. Army Special Forces training program. The project involved translating military and medical documentation and providing interpretation during humanitarian demining and rescue-service training.

Since then, I have completed hundreds of translation, editing, proofreading, and localization projects across a wide range of industries, including:

Rates

Rates depend on the language pair, subject matter, volume, and deadline. I am always happy to discuss your project and provide a competitive, transparent quote.

Payment can be made via bank transfer, or other mutually agreed methods.

A free sample translation (up to 150 words) is available upon request.

Beyond Translation

In addition to translation, I own and operate a specialty coffee shop in the heart of Yerevan. Coffee is my business, but languages remain my passion. Continuing to work as a translator keeps my linguistic skills sharp while allowing me to collaborate with clients from around the world.

Outside of work, I enjoy filmmaking. I wrote my first screenplay in 2018 and recently completed production of my first short film—a creative project that reflects my passion for storytelling through both language and film.
