I have a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and a Master's degree in Education (Art) as well as a Certificate and a Graduate Diploma in Translation. I am a Certified translator, member of OTTIAQ (Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes du Québec).
I have always had an interest in language and have also translated in several fields, including general medicine, health awareness, nutrition, political science, environment, development, history and philosophy. I love to research the topics I translate and look forward to expanding into new fields.
Before I began translating full-time (freelance), I worked for McGill University in Montreal for 35 years in a variety of areas. I spent many years in student recruitment, traveling around North America, speaking to students about higher education. I then managed the graduate fellowship and awards Office, followed by work in the Faculty of Management, managing development projects and then managing a program that recruited and trained mid-level economists from emerging market countries. I finished my career managing the Economics Department. These positions have given me familiarity with project proposal terminology, grant application terminology, as well as a deep understanding of the education field.
I am always looking for new challenges. |
