English term

on a managed basis

English to German Bus/Financial Finance (general)
This is a quarterly report of a bank, where they go on about the write-offs they had to make for bad loans. The sentence goes like this: "On a managed basis, consumer bankcard charge-offs remained consistent with second quarter levels."
I don't quite understand what this "managed" basis is -- or what the corresponding term in German would be.

Hinsichtlich der Außenstände auf Kreditkartenkonten blieb die Höhe von Abschreibungen

aus unerfüllten Kredit-Rückzahlungen auf dem Niveau des zweiten Quartals.

That's what I would write, but maybe there are more precise terms around which make the whole sentence smoother.

Managed Credit Card Receivables or Managed Basis: JPMorgan Chase uses this terminology to refer to its credit card receivables on the balance sheet plus securitized credit card receivables.

Charge-off:
The portion of principal and interest due on a loan that is written off when deemed to be uncollectible.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks, Ute! After reading through more of the same stuff, I came to the conclusion that 'on a managed basis' simply means that these are receivables still under the management of the bank (and not sold, transferred to assets for sale or otherwise disposed of). Your answer was an eye opener. Thanks again, and good luck! Volkmar"
