Aus einem Anschreiben an die Fondsinhaber:

"While the Fund underperformed, the way in which it performed leaves us confident that we have the right approach to this market. Two of five categories within the Fund out-performed the S&P with tech exposure (New Industries) providing a robust 16.3% return. Even better was the return of the *down-market* utility exposure (High Yield), which returned 19.1% YTD. While below the benchmark, healthcare exposure (New Products) was in-line with the over-all sector.

So, what held performance back? Interestingly, in an *up-market* such as this, it was not the attention to the *down-market* with its associative “preservation of capital” focus, but the headline risk that permeated from the *up-market* Dominant Companies category."

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob hier einfach nur vom Hausse- bzw. Baissemarkt gesprochen wird, da ich den Ausdruck down market eigentlich nicht als Entsprechung dafür kenne. Im Deutschen habe ich einige Treffer für Down-Market gefunden, aber mit recht uneinheitlicher Verwendung, so dass ich "Denglisch" dahinter vermute.
