Glossary entry (derived from question below)
English term or phrase:
to diagnostic persistance of a heartbeat (communication protocol for banking ATM)
French translation:
s'assurer de la connexion ininterrompue / de la continuité ( ou persistance) de la connexion
English term
heartbeat
"- Device and Key Download the flows required by Security and Key
download exchanges;"
"- Diagnostic the persistence of a heartbeat"
L'anglais est assez mauvais je trouve, et je ne comprends même pas la structure syntaxique de la phrase ! De plus, je ne comprends pas l'image du "heartbeat"...

Proposed translations
s'assurer de la connection ininterrompue / de la continuité ( ou persistence) de la connection
It's a way of making sure that the connection has not been tampered with - that after being established it remains a secure connection.
Sure about the meaning, but not sure what could be the "accepted / usual translation" (if there is any).

"Security and Key download exchange" is what makes the connection secure when initiated
"diagnostic persistance of a heartbeat" is what guaranties that the connection stays secured.

"diagnostic persistance of a heartbeat" in a hospital patient means in effect "make sure the patient is still alive / showing signs of being alive" .
It doesn't take some huge unbridled imagination to see the parallel with "keeping the connection alive (/still ON, is not broken, ...)".
Especially that even a basic knowledge of the subject matter says that NOTHING ELSE could make any sense.
When you can have boots (booting = procedure for starting the operating system, not putting your boots on early in the morning) and cookies (saved environment variables, nothing edible) in your computer, what is so surprising that a communication protocole could have a "heartbeat"?
