Bio

The fields I'm working in

literal, efficient and technical translations :

- Medicine ( biology : molecular genetics,  immunology)

- Financial reports, marketing studies, businesses marketing reports...

- Advertisements (highlighting a product...)

- scientific analysis (especially research programs in agriculture, psychologygeopolitics, sociology or anthropology)

- Diplomacy (
also documents related to law and negotiation)

- Administrative document (letter of complaint, follow-up, credentials, rejection, cover letter...)

- Philosophy,
philology, semasiology, etymology...

Accurate translations, focused on deep, hidden meanings, and interpretations :

- Reliable extrapolations ( for example to give a more precise, fresh or richer meaning to a document)
- Need to adapt the meaning of a document because of specific expressions apparently untranslatable in their contextual meaning? This is my favorite challenge !

- Artistic criticism or musical presentation (I studied classical music and art for twelve years in France, and I'm able to understand, and faithfully translate the musical vernacular)

- Poetry (sometimes the poetry needs to be properly translated from some colorful language to something equivalent in another one : that's why the work needs to be subtle and smart, with a deep understanding of what the expressions really mean contextually)

- Spiritual and philosophical texts (I'm currently studying Sanskrit, through sacred texts from the Vedic revelation. Therefore, I'm familiar with the  terminology, vocabulary and traditional idioms related to Eastern philosophy).

How am I working?

More than a challenge, any requests from clients related to a translation work has to be granted with as much swiftness and flexibility as possible.

Each text is unique, and has its own set of particularities. This is what I always keep as a broad framework.

Deadlines are sacred !

Being fond of anything linked to  languages and semasiology, I have always tried to anchor this passion  in the journey, which is a good way not to confuse the rudimentary communication with a real knowledge. I believe that words in human history really make sense as singular thoughts, and that with it you can cross any cultural barriers, to improve communication between individuals, and help professionals to transmit their messages.

When I'm not working as a farmer, or practicing music, one of my main hobby is studying Sanskrit. This activity aims to learn the deep and ancient links between indo-european languages, by learning Devanagari scriptures and classical Sanskrit simultaneously.
My goal is to learn more and more languages, and I consider my self enough serious and experienced in English to be able to translate it to French faithfully.

I'm used in translating texts about farming, psychology, religion and philosophies, but any kind of work is an opportunity for me to accurately convey some meanings and it's a stimulating challenge itself ; I make a point of doing it seriously, with flexibility, and meticulously.

The first reason why I'm serious in this activity is... because i really enjoy it, for sure !
