LIBOR (London Inter Bank Offered Rate)
Each business day in London at 11.00 B.S.T. the Eurodeposit markets offered side average rate is released by the BBA (British Bankers Asscciation).
LIBOR for virtually all the worlds major currencies are released by the BBA. The calculation is an average of the offer side rates reported to the BBA by a number of the worlds leading Banks. The rates are available via DowJones Telerate news service page 3750. It has proved to be extremely clear, fair and real time and as such has become the de facto standard for the settlement of Derivative and most financial instruments that require rate determination at a certain date.
