Hello All, it's me again. Can the above be translated as CAD? I'm editing a text and that's the term the translator used. The company referred to is an IT services firm. Here's the entire sentence: "Ses principales interventions sont dans les domaines de l'informatique décisionnelle et des solutions Internet/Intranet." I thought CAD meant Computer Aided Design.

is how I'd render it. The term "CAD" has been pretty decisively appropriated by the computer-aided design field, and its use here would, I think, only confuse the ultimate reader. "Decision support" is a common buzz-phrase, particularly in the somewhat nebulous world of IT services and the associated promotional literature. (Note too that although "Internet" (the one-and-only) is initial-capped, "intranet" isn't (because any company or group can have one).) -- Hope this helps a bit, HC
