Kassenärztliche Bundesvereinigung but what is the English term????

Kassenärztliche Bundesvereinigung = Federal/National Association of (National) Health Service Accredited/Participating General Practitioners. This is what it is but not the name of any real association that I know of.

http://www.kbv.de/ -

The above site gives the full German name but no official translation. So far I have not found an association name for the UK or US with exactly the same meaning. I rather doubt that the AMA or BMA have this "Health Service Participation" criterion for membership. Those two organizations are more like the Bundesärztekammer. If nobody can give you the name of an exactly corresponding British or American association, you may have to transexlateplain it something like the tapeworm "name" above. - HTH - Dan

Hope this helps.

Kassenärztliche Bundesvereinigung

Most likely, this would be the kassenärztliche Bundesvereinigung (see URL below).
There is also a Swiss health insurer, Krankenkasse KBV (see second URL).

Judging by your context, however, I would guess that KBV = Kassenärztliche Bundesvereinigung

Federal Association of Panel Doctors

This is how Eurodicautom translates it. Sounds like a UK term. Panel might be replaced by HMO in the US or Provincial Health Plan for Canada.
