I am a U.S. citizen originally from New York, with English as my mother tongue. After living in Morocco from 1969 to 2014, I now live in Michigan, USA.
Having started as a freelance translator in 1989 (combined with other work until 1/2003), I became ATA- Certified for FR-EN in 2/1997.
I taught English as a Foreign Language to undergraduate and graduate students at Morocco's School of Library and Information Science for 17 years.
From 1994 to 2003, I worked part-time at AMIDEAST as both a translator and educational advisor for Moroccan applicants to USA institutions of higher education. In 2003, I opted to focus on freelance translation.
USA Education and work experience: Bachelor's degree in biology (Bryn Mawr College, 1961); Master's degree in Social Work (Columbia University, 1964); professional experience in mental health, youth corrections, and child welfare settings.
