Bio

Hi all, thanks for stopping by.

My name is Adibah. I'm a native speaker of Bahasa Melayu, Malaysia's official language. I also have a degree in medicine from University College Dublin, Ireland. In 2017, I swapped my stiff lab coat for a pair of comfy sweatpants to concentrate on medical translation full-time.

I've a certificate in General Translation from the Malaysian Institute of Translation & Books. Soon I'll be joining the MTA (Malaysian Translators Association) as a lifetime member.

For references:

Please contact either Ms Aida Harun (wordloftsolutions@gmail.com) or Ms Anthasha (anthasha@gmail.com)

Rates:

For international clients: USD0.60 per source word, or USD30 per hour. This is the rate commonly charged by professionally trained Malaysian translators and members of the MTA.

Capacity:

2000 words per day. I rarely go beyond 2500 words per day to minimise potential error. This is especially important in medical translation.

CAT tools:

None at the moment.

***

My training in medicine means I am used to working very hard within short turnaround times. Most of my colleagues would describe me as extremely diligent and organised.

Do take time to check out my portfolio. I'll be uploading more soon.

As of 24th September 2018, I am not currently accepting any new jobs as I am working on a long-term translation project which should be complete around end of October or early November. However, if you would like to add me to your database, feel free to drop me an email and I will endeavour to reply as soon as possible. Thank you.

Adibah
