Translate your documentation using the words and jargon your users are used to. Avoid critical errors caused by misunderstanding your manuals. I can help your organization translate descriptive, accurate material intended to instruct, guide, or show the functionality or components of a particular device, program, or procedure.

I translate from English to Mexican Spanish. It is important to note this because technical jargon varies in all Spanish-speaking regions. Don’t slip off with this and keep it in mind if you’re speaking to a Mexican or a Latin American audience.

Hello, I’m a technical translator and interpreter with a B.A. in translation and experience in electromechanical devices and equipment. I’ve had first-hand experience interpreting for engineers and mechanical technicians on gas turbine outages. I worked with mechanical supervisors from the U.S. at Mexican power plants, interpreting English and Spanish for technicians and plant personnel on distinct situations regarding the plant outage. From lifting a turbine case to sniffing tests on the final stages of an outage. And also managing all the tasks within it. My duty was to help supervisors communicate smoothly with all personnel. Working with Mexican and U.S. technicians and engineers helped me to expand and double-check my technical vocabulary in both English and Spanish.  I’ve also worked with operation and installation manuals for air compressors, sun power controllers, and electrical water pump controllers. Altogether, my experience in the technical field, especially on electromechanical devices, made me focus my services on technical translations, which my clients can benefit from the most.

In my experience offering technical translations, I’ve gained critical knowledge about tooling, bolting, equipment, and electrical and mechanical components. Working with bilingual technicians and engineers has been my source of knowledge, besides extensive research and curiosity about the functionality of “things.”

Let me help you with that important project you have in your hands. We can work together, as a plug-and-play employee of your organization, or you can simply send me your documentation, and I’ll assemble a team with another translator or engineer to help me ensure your translation is of the utmost quality.

Are you curious about my procedure? Even though each project has different needs, leading to different approaches, I can tell you that my translations are double and triple-checked before sending them to your inbox. I would never send out something I don’t completely understand. Besides that, the linguistic side of your technical document is also taken care of. This is covered by using the three-phase process known as TEP (Translation, editing, and proofreading), a worldwide standard that can be adjusted to your needs.

You can contact me at [email protected] to learn more about my services and discuss how we can work together to achieve your goals.

Marketing Services

Mexico has most of the world's native Spanish speakers*. Yet, brands insist on using flat general Spanish in their campaigns. Or worse, they distribute the same content used in Spain.

Hello visitors! My name is Diego. I'm an English to Mexican Spanish marketing and technical translator.

Are you considering communicating with a Mexican audience?

My job is to help you connect with local audiences in Mexico. Together, we can tailor the tone and register of your writing to serve your purposes. I can talk to elders in the respectful way they expect. And also play with words and local idioms for younger segmentations. Whether you want to sell a product, offer guidance, or raise your voice, I'll help you achieve your goals. Whatever it is, let's make it Mexican.

Mexican consumers are family-oriented and love traditions. They're more likely to engage with your content if it's associated with their culture. But,

How familiar do you want to get?

Don't get caught using a poor Mexican disguise with flat Spanish texts. Most of our population doesn't use big hats and travel on donkeys anymore. Even so, we use a vivid vocabulary that resembles our colorful dresses and traditions.

Ready to go from cloying BBQ to tasty salsa?

Are you lost? We can start from zero, discussing your campaign, buyer persona, and keywords. You may have come here only for a comprehensive translation from English to Spanish. Anyway, I'm here to help you assess your needs and point you in the right direction.

Contact me for a free consultation on your translation needs. I'll tell you everything about the translation industry: AI, machine translation, MTPE, TEP, etc...

Quality in the process

My technical and marketing translations are the result of extensive research. You can expect a professional translation process led by:

  • Research
  • Glossaries
  • Double-check terminology
  • Compared review with source and parallel texts

These practices help me ensure the chosen wording is correct and appropriate for your communication intent. The result will be a text that is smooth to read and easy to comprehend for your Spanish audience.

Tech-savvy

You can trust my proficiency in operating CAT tools and DTP software. We can work to adapt hundreds of pages from English to Spanish while maintaining a format in layout, graphics, and text boxes. As of now, Memo Q, Wordfast, and Smartling, as well as InDesign and Illustrator, have been firm allies in my career. These and other tools help me offer you a variety of quality, reliable services and solutions.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

My urge to continue learning and improving my services is constant. Currently, I am studying an online course on the foundations of copywriting and SEO.
