Source text - English The objectives of the Regulation cannot be achieved by truly undermining the rights of the defence of addressees of a European payment order. Therefore, a failure to guarantee the addressees of a European payment order an effective opportunity to oppose such an order, and thus to be heard by a court, was capable of undermining the delicate balance that the Regulation has struck between claimants and defendants, thereby amounting to a breach of Article 47 of the Charter.

Portanto, o não cumprimento do preceito de garantir a esses destinatários a possibilidade efetiva de deduzirem oposição à referida injunção e, portanto, de serem ouvidos em juízo, era suscetível de prejudicar o delicado equilíbrio que o regulamento estabeleceu entre requerentes e requeridos, constituindo assim uma violação do artigo 47.º da Carta.

My job in the EU area involves, inter alia, translating, proofreading and post-editing documents emanating from EU institutions, regarding cases before the Court of Justice of the European Union,in addition to Directives, Regulations, Decisions, Communications, Draft Proposals etc.
As a Certified and Sworn Translator I am authorized to provide certified/sworn/notarized translations that are legally binding.
