I think there should be used ISO country codes as well to difference for example Iberian Portuguese from Brazilian Portuguese. It would be very useful in KudoZ questions

Having too many different flavours for English (British, American, etc...) or Spanish (many flavours), Brazilian, and other languages may dilute the audience and make many specific \'language + country\' combination too marginal.



Just imagine a question from Spanish to English, specified as Chilean Spanish to British English.

I appreciate your point but I like that there is only a unique place for each language family.



When the question is strictly \'country specific\' it could be made clear in the question.

well then the use of the \"key second part\" should be optional. the asker would decide to zoom in or out the focus in country. i\'m telling you this because in \"my/our\" case, iberian portuguese/brazilian portuguese, it can be a bit tricky to look at one or other suggestions, but yes, this has two sides of course.

I really don\'t think this should be country specific. I am sure that many Iberian Portuguese translators have already found my answers useful, and I am Brazilian.

Nope Silvio. They might find it useful, but they snob the spelling, style. I am having a long discussion now with some manoels who could been avoided if the asker have said \"European Portuguese\". On advertising jobs they ARE very specific - we don\'t want \"brazucas\".

Maybe an alternative to specific language lists could be an indication of the country of provenance near the name of the asker/answerer. And, of course, I think we should mention the country or variety of language when it\'s important
