French term

population rejointe

French to English Medical Medical: Pharmaceuticals
this is the term for a population of patients "really benefiting from treatment in a real-life situation"
Any ideas of an English equivalent?
"responder population" may be one alternative
Thanks for something better!

Discussion

Nicholas Stedman (asker) Feb 18, 2009:
February 2009 This question is still open and the term "population rejointe" is very widely used French observational medical studies. I have been translating it as "served population" but would be pleased to here any better ideas! Thanks

Awaiting answer Delay - Sorry about not awarding points yet!! I"m still not sure. This is about a hypertension patient questionnaire. We have three populations those initially treated by the doctor, those within this population who correctly took their medication, and a still smaller population of patients who took their medication and achieved treatment goals. The context for "population rejointe" is not clear though I tentatively agree with Michaels and Drmanu's answers that it is the first "treated" or "beneficiary" population
Dr Sue Levy (X) Mar 29, 2007:
Term also used in market research/advertising I believe. "Population touchée" seems to be a synonym for "population rejointe".
Dr Sue Levy (X) Mar 29, 2007:
Spontaneously, I think of "population reached". "Population reach" is a parameter of the success of health promotion activities, but it seems to have a rather Australian flavour about it (not surprising since I worked in public health in Oz)
Julie Barber Mar 29, 2007:
I think that it is just the population in question, benefiting from whichever service is being provided: http://www.comsep.qc.ca/popula/popula.htm

you need to give the sentence in French!
