Hi Marcus,
found a few hits for "IDM Schacht"/ " - Schächte" on Google, but nothing that explains what it means or expands the abbreviation. One site (ref 1, German plus English translation) translates it as 'sump shaft(s)', but I'm not convinced, since all the Google hits for 'sump shaft' (except the bogus ones) relate to mines, where a sump shaft is the deepest shaft of a set of shafts, used to collect drainage water.
Maybe you can ask the client.

Die Städte Göppingen und Eislingen planen zum Zweck einer Vergleichsmessung der bereits vorhandenen Abflußmeßstellen vorübergehend eine weitere Meßstelle einzurichten. Die Wahl fiel auf die magnetischinduktive Durchflußmessung (MID oder IDM), die für ihre sehr gute Meßgenauigkeit, auch im Bereich Abwasser, bekannt ist. Das Meßgerät soll in ein bestehendes Schachtbauwerk installiert werden.
Durch die sehr beengten und schwierigen Platzverhältnisse im bestehenden Schachtbauwerk soll die Möglichkeit herangezogen werden, statt einem gedükertern Standard-MID einen ungedükerten MID zu installieren. Als Entscheidungshilfe soll durch das o.g. Gutachten mittels einer Literaturrecherche ein Vergleich der beiden Meßgeräte ausgearbeitet und insbesondere die jeweilige Meßgenauigkeit beschrieben werden.
