Although born and educated in the United States, my professional career has been spent in Canada and the Netherlands. In Canada I worked as an electronics technician, electronics engineer and system engineer for nearly 20 years, and after moving to the Netherlands I embarked on a new career as a freelance translator, initially specialising in technical translation in my former areas of activity and gradually expanding into other fields.
