German term

Gruppenbereich

German to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
Ex.: Gruppenbereich Markt
A customer came in with a late change to an annual report and suddenly the Bereiche have become Gruppenbereiche. My dilemma: what is the best way to phrase this?
"Market Division Group" is what I'm leaning toward but depending on how it's stressed when read, I don't like it.
"Group Market Division" would be my other option.
What would you do?
Thanks!

They're involved in the production, distribution and sale of electricity.

The first thing we need to know here is the industry in which the company is doing business. This might help identify a more targeted translation.

As far as I can tell from the text, this isn't actually a marketing division. It monitors national and international markets for changes and new opportunities. "Market" is the right word. I'm just looking for the best way to reflect that this division is at the Group level.

Mir ist das unverständlich - was ist denn ein "Bereich" bzw. "Gruppenbereich" in diesem Kontext? Was macht der "Gruppenbereich Markt"? Ist das nur ein anderer Begriff für Marketing auf Konzernebene?

Group Division: Market (insight)

As I understand it, this might work. I find that particularly US-American companies love the term "market insight" (maybe to make it sound more sophisticated than mere market research).

Group Markets Division

Taking all the other contributions and comments into account, this is what I would use.

Group Market Intelligence Division/Department

... since their purpose/aim seems to be to collect data/information ("intelligence") from the various markets relevant to the company. The "Gruppenbereich" seems to be the same as a "Konzernbereich" (Gruppe = Konzern = group).
