German term

Fahrschalter

German to English Tech/Engineering Tractors
Tractor with electronic controls, operated with a "fahrhebel" (joystick) - but also with normal controls in case of failure of electronic system. This is an example from the manual troubleshooting section:
"Fahrschalter Signal "Fahrpedal Betrieb" fehlerhaft (Fahrpedalbetrieb, d.h. Fahrschalter wird verrastet)".
It may be the driving mode selector switch.

The driving mode selector switch indicator for \"Pedal Operation\" is defective, etc.

What Claudia describes may also be called: \"ignition switch.\"

Thank you for the support.
agree Claudia Tomaschek : "Driving switch" is correct. Here is what my Bosch says: Fahrschalter ist der Schalter, der die Zünd- und Vorglühanlage betätigt, den Startvorgang einleitet und je nach Ausführung die Beleuchtung schaltet (Referenz Bosch, Fachwörterbuch Kraftfahrtechnik.
