Spanish term

de menos, again

Spanish to English Art/Literary
"de menos" is italicized, if that helps... here's the whole context:
(She is talking about how the body is excluded by academia)

I do not see your context clearly, but from what you say,

if it deals with the body, this could be an allusion to the saying "De menos nos hizo Dios". (What God judged to be sufficient is not what we see as sufficient). On this basis, try "the academic protocol of the much-belittled body" or something like that. Hope it helps.

belittle, depreciate

I think that something is wrong in the Spanish text.

I would try with belittle:
"... belittles, with exhibitionism, the protocol..."

Hope it helps

Dear Theodore,

could it be a typo and read "AL menos" instead? It could make sense, if put between commas.

Hope it helps, this is what I found out.
