Dear all,

Is anybody aware of a MA or equivalent in literary translation available either in the UK or France as a distance learning course?

I have tried finding one on Google but without success.

Thank you

Estelle

University of Portsmouth? Sep 18, 2011

Hi Estelle - I'm currently on the MA Translation Studies distance learning programme at the University of Portsmouth. So far I'm finding it a great course, although I don't do literary translation.

It's not a specialist literary translation programme, but you can tailor the course to suit your needs - you can choose the modules which are more suited to literary translation.

Hi Estelle,

The Centre européen de traduction littéraire in Belgium offers distance learning courses in literary translation. It's a two-year postgraduate program offered for various language combinations.

MA Translation Bristol University Nov 13, 2011

I am looking for a similar course and have found this one at Bristol University which appears to have a more literary bias than other MAs on offer.
