Fans shall be selected to provide stable operation within the specified operating range and conditions. The pressure-capacity characteristic curve shall rise continuously from the rated operating point to the point of maximum pressure. The capacity at the rated operating point shall exceed the capacity at the point of maximum pressure. The pressure at the rated operating point shall not exceed 94% of the maximum pressure.

Fan performance may be achieved with the use of an *** evasé,*** provided the outlet velocity does not fall below stack velocity.
