I received so many great suggestions on my last question that I thought I would ask for your opinion on what would be the best way to say "small business" i.e. Small Business Development, or Small Business Roundtable, etc..Empresas Pequenas or Menores just don't quite sound right..

That is the most common translation for Small Business, rather than 'empresas pequeñas' as you suggested. It may not sound right, but...

Other option, depending on how small the business, could be 'micro empresas' or using the adjective 'artesanal' even though it has nothing to do with handicrafts.

In Argentina we call them "Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas" (PyMEs)In fact in this case it would be "Pequeñas Empresas or Empresas Pequeñas"
