French term

rupture d'échange de taux d'intérêt

French to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) buyer credit policy
"En cas d'indemnisation globale de XXX avant la livraison, la garantie porte sur les éventuels coûts de ***rupture d'échange de taux d'intérêt*** supportés par les Assurés au titre des intérêts intercalaires".

I'm not sure what this means - a change in the exchange rate affecting interest rates? a change in legal (Libor, ...) interest rates? Could anyone clarify and suggest how I could translate this? Many thanks
Proposed translations (English)
3 failure of an interest rate swap

Discussion

Simon Willmott Jun 5, 2015:
Would it make sense in the context if it were '[contrats d']échange de taux d'intérêt' i.e. interest rate swaps, so 'coûts de rupture' would be something like 'exit costs'?
Nikki Scott-Despaigne Jun 5, 2015:
Is this anything to do with interest rate-exchange rate parity?

failure of an interest rate swap

Not sure if it mainly refers to the agreement itself or to a counterparty.
