formal working time arrangements Explanation: That is working time arrangements that are generally written down and form part of the contractual terms and conditions of employment. As can be seen from the extract below, they are sometimes not an exact reflection of the reality of actual working time arrangements. E.g. a lot of workers put in extra, unpaid hours, sometimes presence at non-work, after hours events may be expected by the employer and occasionally a worker may be allowed informal (paid or unpaid) time off, or to come in early and leave early. "relating mainly to working time concepts linked to payments and employment contracts, and to some formal working time arrangements, for all or a subset of employees and establishments. These are generally hours paid for, overtime, contractual hours and absence from work (unpaid but registered to monitor entitlements). Normal hours and hours actually worked may also be available." www.ilo.org/public/english/bureau/stat/download/.../reptwo.... |
