French term
de contact
French to English
Medical
Medical (general)
I have this sentence from a chest CT in a patient with pneumonia and pneumomediastinum:
"Il y a aussi un thrombus de la partie latérale droite de l'aorte de contact."
The "de contact" part confuses me a bit; surely it refers more to the thrombus than the aorta?
I don't really know....any idea about what is meant and how it would be translated?

: A thrombus by definition is non moving and attached to a vessel wall.

Later on in the document they referred to the CT findings, and mentioned the descending aorta...and the penny dropped :-)
