Facing brickwork/masonry.
"Applications in facing brickwork(i.e, brickwork that is visible and not covered by something else) on external facades and anywhere else where damp proofing of joints is required."
Slight doubt as to the meaning of 'fabricas' here- surely it isn't implying that the application is for the facades of brick producing factories? Also, your question should also have included 'vista' as in 'cara vista', i.e, 'facing'. !

: or 'exposed'. And just a question, wouldn't 'water-repellent' be better than 'damp proofing', doesn't this refer just to the damp-proof course?

Yes, I believe you're right- it is more likely to be water repellent, although it can mean either. In U.K construction, it's always 'facing', which obviously means exposed, as opposed to hidden.

: yes, the bricks are 'facing bricks' and the wall itself 'exposed brickwork'.

: the "fábrica" may not be made of bricks, so "masonry" is a good call.

PS Didn't have to look too far for this, since the bricks are made in my husband's village!
