producto de revestimiento para el suelo Explanation: o "producto para alfombrado". Both used equally, several net hits for both. Check links below. Ah, premium: "de calidad superior" or "de (primera) calidad". cheers :) Reference: http://www.afip.gov.ar/dga/boletines/1999/23clasificacion.ht... Reference: http://www.editer.com.ar/decoraci.htm |

See below Explanation: Carpets, rugs and mats are known as "alfombras". This is the general word in Spanish. Then we have "felpudo", (mat at door), alfombrilla or tapete (rug), ... and many other kinds of "alfombras". According to this explanation, we might translate "premium floor covering product" simply as "Alfombras", or maybe "Alfombras de primera calidad". Definitely you can not use "Revestimiento" (as some proposes in another of your questions) since this, in Spanish, refers to varnishes, paints, ..., but not to "alfombras" Your proposal, "producto para cubrir suelos", sounds a bit odd in Spanish. I would interpret it as a product to cover floors temporarily - for example, imagine that you paint the walls and ceilings in your house and you need to cover to floor to avoid it from being stained, or imagine that you need to protect a floor because a lot of people is going to step on it, as in a concert in a sports pavillion. In these cases I would use "producto para cubrir suelos", but I would not use it to refer to "alfombras" I hope this helps you! Pere |

I perfectly agree with pfg. Explanation: You can also use the combination alfombras y tapetes. Good Luck! |

pfg is right Explanation: Just "Alfombras" is OK, because it includes all: small, mats, wall to wall... "Revestimientos para pisos" refers also to tiles and that kind of things (not the case here). I also agree that "Producto para cubrir suelos" is very awkward; a literal translation that may mean anything but "alfombra" for a Spanish speaking reader. Good luck and best regards, Patricia |
