This is about various dental ceramics. After discussing the main types, they're now talking about new developments and methods. I think I've more or less worked out this complex sentence, but am having trouble understanding "Anlegen ... auf". Have done a little background reading on electrophoresis, but even so, I'm not quite sure how to translate that part. TIA for your help with this.
