I don't see why you cannot or do not want to use this "official" translation... it is used in Mexico and other countries as well.

agree Richard Cadena : This is perfect. The original phrase in Spanish is "de la Federación" is a problem and should be "Federal" only. Thomas West has "poder judicial" as "judicial Branch" or "Judiciary" in his dictionary.
