I know there is a "holiday" for translators, but what about interpreters? If you have any information on the subject, please direct it my way. Thank you!

In France, Saint Jérôme is the patron saint of translators. But I didn't find anything about interpreters...

PS International translator's day is on september, 30th

September 30 - Translator's Day - St. Jerome Jul 16, 2003

Apparently, September 30th is Translator's Day in honor of St. Jerome, one of the translators of the Bible.

Then Interpreters' Day ought to be the feast of Pentecost :-) Jul 18, 2003

Then it ought to be Pentecost when, if the story is to be believed, the desciples rushed downstairs out into the street and found themselves, much to their own surprize, able to speak to all the strangers from faraway places, present in the crowd, in the strangers' own languages, even though they had not previously had any knowledge of those languages themselves....
I don't know whether the different church calendars have the same dates for Pentecost (or the same dates for St.Jerome's day either)....perhaps there can be 2 translators' days & 2 interpreters' days....

Best wishes (and happy translators' and interpreters' days, whenever they are)
Giuli
