Pour répondre à votre question : peut-on dire heartlife? :) Comme je le suggérais, esprit ou sensibilité me paraîtraient proches de l'idée, mais la rendraient moins bien, à mon sens. Et puis le traducteur doit être un peu acrobate aussi, non? Sauter quand il le faut, sous peine de se casser la figure... À vous de juger, bien sûr.
merci Roger :) J'aime bien cette traduction qui, en fait, correspond très bien aux quelque 500 pages qui suivent où il est question des habitations primitives dans l'Arkansas. Des cabanes plutôt, pour la construction desquelles ne sont utilisés que les produits de la terre. Mais peut-on ainsi sauter allègrement de heart à hearth à earth? |
