French term

LBF no.

French to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
This is in the footer summarising a bank's details, e.g. address, capital

RCS Nanterre LBF No 999999 CCP Paris 222222

RCS = Registre du commerce et des sociétés

so what does this stand for in this context

Discussion

Elizabeth Niklewska (asker) Jul 15, 2008:
Still unsure so left abbreviation I just left LBF in the end, as it was in the footer, so not absolutely vitally important and I was not convinced by the responses.

List of Banking and Financial Institutions sounded logical, but it seems that only that Guinea link specifically backs it.

Thanks for your efforts anyway
Elizabeth Niklewska (asker) Jul 9, 2008:
3 digits Lori: Yes, it has 3 digits after it.

I thought of Banque de France - but that does not seem to make sense
Lori Cirefice Jul 9, 2008:
do you have 3 digits after the LBF?

Found this link, but not any others - hence low confidence. But it has to be something along these lines I think.

Ok - it's not related to la Banque de France, here's the reply I received from them:

Bonjour,

I wonder if the RCS has a special "registre" for banks, similar to the one for agents commerciaux?
