'Lao' refers primarily to the principal ethnic group residing in Laos, and also to their language and other characteristics. In English, the language may be called either Lao or Laotian (or in Europe sometimes, Laothian). Either word is OK as a modifier, as in 'Lao music' or 'Laotian food.' Sorry, I can't seem to transmit a Lao font to this site.
