Discussion

Mohamed Ghazal Sep 8, 2006:
Actually طفطف started in Egypt in Ras El-Bar and it was neither, it was a bus with no sides. :)
MElHelw Sep 8, 2006:
Both are used in hotels but the word طفطف applies only to the second.
Nancy Eweiss Sep 8, 2006:
Hi Nesrin, the taftaf is more like the shuttle train (the second link) not the golf cart or the 'TokTok' which is now running in parts of Cairo (max 4 passengers).
Nesrin Sep 8, 2006:
Is it a small car (for approx. 4 persons) or more like a train for a large number of people?
MElHelw Sep 8, 2006:
it is a small train or bus running on electricity providing visitors a tour of the hotel or park grounds

agree Tamer Aly (X) : Very true. That's the reason we have "shuttle buses," "shuttle vans," and occasionally "shuttle bikes" :)
