アメリカの学生が途上国でギャップイヤーを取得する、ということについて書かれた文書の中に以下のような文章が出てくるのですが、new termの訳語がわかりません。

In most cases in the developing world, this may be a new term and so the organization may have to have a hand stitching projects together with values, but these larger visions should be shared not only with the communities, but also the students as a matter of educating.

ここでのvisionは、アメリカ人が足を運ぶ地域が持つビジョンのことを指します。
文脈から判断すると「新しい状況」のような言葉が適切だと思うのですが、termはそのようなニュアンスが含まれている語ではないと思うので、判断できず困っております。
