Mosquitoes are a group of about 3,500 species of small insects that are flies . Within Dipthera they constitute the family Cullicidae. The word "mosquito" is Spanish for "little fly". Mosquitoes have a slender segmented body, one pair of wings, three pairs of long hair-like legs, feathery antennae, elongated mouth parts. The mosquitoes life cycle consists of egg, larva, pupa, and adult stages. Eggs are laid on the water surface, they hatch into motile larvae that feed on aquatic algae and organic material. The adult females of most species have tube -like mouth part(called proboscis) that can pierce the skin of a host and feed on blood, which contains protein, and iron needed to produce eggs. Nyamuk merupakan satu kumpulan lebih kurang 3,500 spesis serangga kecil terdiri dari unggas. Dalam Dipthera, mereka termasuk dalam famili Cullicidae.Perkataan "nyamuk" adalah perkataan Sepanyol bermaksud "unggas kecil". Nyamuk mempunyai badan berbentuk silender berketak- ketak, sepasang kepak, tiga pasang kaki panjang berbulu, sesungut berbulu, bahagian mulut yang memanjang. Kitaran hidup nyamuk terdiri daripada telur, lava, kepompong, dan peringkat dewasa.Telur terapung dipermukaan air, ianya menetas mengeluarkan lava yang bergerak, yang memakan alga akuatik dan bahan organik. Betina dewasa kebanyakan spesis mempunyai bahagian mulut berupa tiub (dikenali sebagai probosis) yang boleh menembusi kulit perumah dan menghisap darah, yang mengandungi protin, dan zat besi yang diperlukan untuk menghasilkan telur-telur.

Born in Malaysia to a Malay speaking family, I grew up speaking Malay and English since childhood. 

I began my studies in science and later in law and banking. I have experienced in law and banking for 26 years.

I also have experience as committee members of Malaysian Translators Association.
